Looping Lights Animated Geometry Nodes

Using this geometry node you can generate basic animated geometry quickly.

This node can use any mesh as the initial object. The examples are all based on circles/cylinders generated through the geometry node but it can also be swapped out for other objects by going within the Loop Settings and dragging your object from the Scene Collection into the node area (creating an Object Info node), replacing the Mesh output from the Cylinder with your new object. This will remove the functionality of the first 5 settings as these are used to construct your initial object.

UPDATE: I've added a blend file (Logo-Loop) including an example of a loop using a custom object, so you can easily replace it with your own.

FINAL UPDATE: I've created a video outlining how to create your own procedural logo animations using a similar setup, Procedural Logo Animation with Geometry Nodes in Blender (Free Template) - YouTube.

(also added another blend file for this logo animation)

⚙ The settings:

Setting up your initial object -

Vertices - How many points your initial object has (the lights spawn on each point of the mesh).

Side Segment - How many subdivisions your mesh's depth will have (if the depth is 0, this will have no impact on the visual).

Fill Segment - How many subdivisions exist on the caps of the object.

Radius - Radius of the initial object.

Depth - Depth of the initial object.

Setting up the light's object -

Segments - Number of points on each light.

Radius - The radius of the lights.

Setting up the light's movement

Value - Speed of the wave animation (the file includes the loop at 3.3 @ 91 frames - this will hopefully set you up with the relation so you can change the speed/frames proportionally)

Scale - Scale of the wave animation.

Distortion - Distortion of wave animation.

Detail - Detail of wave animation.

Detail Scale - Scale of detail within wave animation.

Detail Roughness - Roughness within the wave animation.

Hoping someone can use it for their own project or learn from it.

Thank you for the support. ♥
